Oneironaut respects your privacy. This policy explains what data our app collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with to provide you with the best dream journaling experience.
Information We Collect & How We Use It
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your display name and email address. This is securely stored using our cloud database provider to authenticate your login and keep your journal synced.
Dream Entries: The dreams you type or record are saved to your account so you can access your journal across your devices.
Third-Party Data Sharing (AI Features) To provide you with AI-driven dream interpretations and the "Dream Guide" chat, our app integrates with a third-party AI service provided by OpenAI.
What is shared: When you explicitly request an interpretation or send a chat message, only the specific text of that dream or message is sent to OpenAI for processing.
What is protected: We do not share your personal identity, name, or email address with OpenAI. Furthermore, data sent through this API is not used by OpenAI to train their public models, providing you with equal privacy protection.
Information We Do Not Share Outside of the specific AI features mentioned above, we do not sell, rent, or share your personal data, email, or dream journals with outside marketers or third parties.
Security We take reasonable industry-standard measures to ensure your account and data stay safe and securely encrypted in the cloud.
Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy if needed. Updates will be posted on this page.
What's next? Once you update the text on your website to match this, Apple's Guideline 5.1.2(i) requirement for the Privacy Policy is 100% solved.
